How to use PowerPoint to PDF
- Press Select PowerPoint file and choose a .pptx file.
- Choose the quality.
- Press Convert to PDF and download.
What is converted
Slide, layout and master backgrounds, pictures (with cropping), basic shapes with fill and outline, text with its size, colour, bold, italic and alignment, bullet points, tables and grouped objects. Animations, videos and charts are not part of a PDF; charts that are pictures are kept.
Tips
- Old .ppt files: save them as .pptx in PowerPoint or Google Slides first.
- Special fonts: if your slides use a font your device does not have, a similar font is used.
Why save slides as PDF?
- A PDF opens on every phone and computer, even without PowerPoint.
- Fonts and layout do not shift when someone else opens the file.
- PDFs are easy to print as handouts and to upload to learning portals.
Tips
- Animations and videos cannot play in a PDF – each slide is shown in its final state.
- Large picture-heavy decks can be made smaller with Compress PDF.
- Want to edit the slides again later? Keep the original .pptx or use PDF to PowerPoint.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes – free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Can I convert .ppt files?
Please save them as .pptx first – open the file in PowerPoint, Google Slides or LibreOffice and choose Save as .pptx.
Is the text selectable in the PDF?
Yes. Each slide is stored as a sharp image so it looks identical everywhere, and the slide text is added as an invisible text layer, so you can search it and copy it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is opened and converted inside your browser on your own phone or computer and is never sent to our server.
