How to use Excel to PDF
- Press Select Excel file and choose an .xlsx or .csv file.
- Choose sheets, orientation and text size.
- Press Convert to PDF and download.
What is kept
Cell values are converted with their number, date, percentage and currency formats. The result is a tidy table with optional grid lines. Charts, pictures, colours, merged cells and formulas themselves are not shown – only the values Excel last calculated.
Tips for wide sheets
- Choose Landscape and Small text for sheets with many columns.
- Delete columns you do not need in Excel before converting.
- Old .xls files must be saved as .xlsx first.
Make spreadsheets fit on the page
- Wide sheets are turned to landscape automatically; choose a smaller text size if columns are still cut.
- Choose which sheets to include – hidden sheets are skipped.
- The first row can be printed as a bold header row.
Tips
- Numbers, dates, percentages and currencies are shown as formatted in Excel.
- Formulas are shown with their result, not the formula text.
- To convert a PDF table back into a spreadsheet use PDF to Excel.
