Every detail its own layerEach shape and every colour part inside it – a star, a wheel, a shine – becomes its own layer with soft edges.
Real, editable textWords in the picture become live text with a matched font, size, spacing and colour.
Background rebuiltThe space behind each object is filled in, so you can move or delete things freely.

How to use Magic Layers

  1. Press Select image and choose a design, logo, poster, banner or social post.
  2. Press Make magic layers. Every object and text becomes its own layer.
  3. Tap anything to move, resize, rotate, recolour or retype it – then download PNG, JPG or a layered PSD.

What Magic Layers does

A JPG or PNG is normally one flat sheet of pixels. Magic Layers looks at the picture the way a designer would: it finds each separate element – an emblem, a star, a button, a divider line, a block of text – cuts it out with soft, natural edges and puts it on its own layer. The background behind it is rebuilt, so nothing leaves a hole when you move it.

Edit it like a design

Great for freelancers and small businesses

Update the date, price or phone number on a flyer you only have as a JPG, move a logo into a new layout, recolour a template to match a client’s brand, or hand a designer a layered PSD instead of a flat image.

Tips for the best result

Frequently asked questions

Is Magic Layers free?
Yes – free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Download PNG, JPG and layered PSD as often as you like.
How does it separate the objects?
It measures the background colour across the picture, finds everything that stands out from it, groups nearby pixels into objects and gives each one a soft alpha edge. The area behind each object is then filled in from its surroundings, including the grain of textured backgrounds.
Can I change the text in a JPG or PNG?
Yes. The words are read with OCR and turned into live text placed exactly over the original. Tap or double-tap the text and type your new words; you can also change font, weight, size, colour, spacing and alignment.
Will the font match exactly?
The tool compares your text with a set of free fonts and picks the one that covers the original letters best, together with size and spacing. Brand fonts cannot be read from a picture, but the result is usually very close and you can pick another font from the list.
Can I make one tiny part its own layer?
Yes. Switch on “Cut out a piece” and tap the spot – a single star, letter or dot becomes its own layer that you can move, recolour or delete. The hole it leaves is filled automatically.
Can I open the result in Photoshop?
Yes. Download “Layered PSD”: the background, every object and every text are separate layers, ready for Photoshop, Photopea or GIMP.
Can I get a transparent background?
Yes. Tap the empty background, choose “None” and download PNG or PSD – only your objects and text remain.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tap to select, drag to move and pull the round handles to resize or rotate – it works in Chrome and Safari on Android and iPhone.
Can I use gradients?
Yes. Every colour button has a “Gradient” tab with a start and end colour, a direction slider and 16 ready gradients. It works for parts, whole objects, text and the background.
Can I download all layers separately?
Yes. “All layers (ZIP of PNGs)” gives you the full picture, the background and every part and text as its own PNG file.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. Finding objects, reading text and rebuilding the background all happen on your own device.
