How to use Photo & Signature Resizer
- Press Select photo or signature and choose your picture.
- Pick the size your form asks for, or type the pixels and KB yourself. Crop or fit, and clean the background if needed.
- Press Resize for my form and download the JPG.
Why forms reject photos and signatures
Online application portals check three things: the size in pixels (for example 200 × 230), the file size in KB (for example between 20 KB and 50 KB) and the format (almost always JPG). A photo straight from a phone is usually 3000 pixels wide and 3–5 MB, so it is rejected. This tool fixes all three in one step.
Minimum and maximum KB
Some forms also set a minimum size, such as “at least 10 KB”. A small, clean signature can easily be smaller than that. The tool then raises the file to the minimum without changing the picture, so it passes the check.
Getting a good signature picture
- Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper.
- Take the photo in daylight, straight from above, with no shadow from your phone.
- Choose a signature size and “Clean white background” – grey paper becomes pure white and the ink becomes even.
No paper at hand? Draw your signature with Signature Maker, then resize it here.
Photo tips
- Use a recent photo with a plain light background, looking straight at the camera.
- With “Crop to fill the size”, use the slider to move the photo up or down so your head and shoulders are centred.
- For passport and visa photos with country rules and a printable sheet, use Passport Photo Maker.
The sizes in the list are common examples. Always check your own form’s instructions and type the exact numbers it gives.
