Why would a PDF be backwards?
Many office scanners and printers output pages face-down, so the last page ends up on top. Some print workflows, such as booklet printing, also need pages in reverse. This tool flips the order of every page without changing anything else.
Only need a few pages moved? Use Organize PDF instead.
When is the page order reversed?
- Some scanners and copiers feed paper from the last page to the first.
- Printing documents “back to front” so they come out of the printer in the right order.
- Double-sided scanning in two passes: the second pass (back sides) often comes out in reverse.
Tips
- For two-pass double-sided scans, reverse the file with the back sides, then use Organize PDF or Merge PDF to put fronts and backs together.
- Reversing does not change the content or quality of the pages – only their order.
- Only a few pages in the wrong place? Drag them in Organize PDF instead.
