Frequently asked questions

How do I add a watermark to a PDF?
Choose your PDF, type the watermark text – for example CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or your company name – choose size, colour, angle and transparency, and press Add watermark.
Can the watermark be removed?
The text is drawn into the content of each page, so it cannot simply be clicked away in normal PDF readers. Like any watermark it is a deterrent, not a lock – for real protection add a password with Protect PDF.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages in the Pages box, for example 1-3 or 2-end.
Can I use an image or logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose Picture / logo and select a PNG or JPG – a PNG with a transparent background looks best. Place it in any corner or the centre, repeat it over the page, and set its angle, size and transparency.
Will the text under the watermark still be readable?
Yes, if you keep the transparency at the default or lower. You can also choose Behind the content, so the watermark sits under the text like a real paper watermark.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The watermark is added in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
