Frequently asked questions

How do I add page numbers to a PDF?
Choose the PDF, pick where the numbers should go (for example bottom centre) and a style such as “1”, “Page 1” or “1 of 10”, then press Add page numbers.
Can I start numbering from page 2?
Yes. Tick “Skip the first page” so the cover page has no number and numbering starts on the next page.
Can I start from a number other than 1?
Yes. Type any number in First number – useful when your file is chapter 2 of a longer report.
Can I change the size and colour of the numbers?
Yes. Choose the font size and colour so the numbers match your document and stay readable.
Will it change my content?
No. The numbers are added on top of each page; your text and pictures are not moved or changed.
Is it free and private?
Yes. It is free with no watermark and works entirely in your browser.
