How to use Resize PDF

Press Select PDF file.
Choose the new paper size and orientation (portrait or landscape).
Press Resize PDF, check the preview and download.

When do I need to resize a PDF?

A form or document is in US Letter but you print on A4 – or the other way round.
An upload portal asks for A4 pages only.
You want to print a booklet on A5 or a poster on A3.
Pages of different sizes should all have the same size before you merge or print them.

How the resizing works

Every page is placed on the new paper size and scaled by the same factor in both directions, so nothing is stretched. If the shape of the new paper is different, the page is centred and a small white margin appears at the sides or top and bottom. Choose Same as the original to keep portrait pages portrait and landscape pages landscape, or force all pages to one orientation.

Common paper sizes

A4 – 210 × 297 mm, the standard in Pakistan, India, Europe and most of the world.
US Letter – 8.5 × 11 inches (215.9 × 279.4 mm), the standard in the USA and Canada.
A5 – 148 × 210 mm, half of A4, popular for booklets and notebooks.
Legal – 8.5 × 14 inches, used for contracts in North America.
