How to use Text Splitter

  1. Paste your text in the box, or open a .txt file.
  2. Enter the maximum length of each part, for example 2000 characters.
  3. Press Split text, then tap Copy part 1, Copy part 2 and so on.

Why split text?

Many apps and websites only accept a set number of characters at once: social media posts, video descriptions, SMS messages, AI chat boxes, translation tools and online forms. Pasting a long article means cutting it by hand and often breaking a sentence in half. The Text Splitter does it for you and keeps every sentence whole.

How the parts end

Part numbers

Turn on part numbers to add 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 at the start or end of each part, so readers know the order. The number is counted in the length, so every part still fits the limit.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Text Splitter free?
Yes, it is completely free and needs no sign-up. Split as much text as you like.
What is it useful for?
Splitting long text into parts that fit a limit – for example WhatsApp or SMS messages, social media captions, AI prompts, voice-over scripts or form fields with a character limit. Each part ends at a full stop so sentences are not cut in half.
What happens if one sentence is longer than the limit?
That sentence is cut at the last line break or space that still fits, so no part goes over your limit and no word is broken in the middle.
Are spaces and emojis counted?
Yes. Every letter, space, line break and emoji counts as one character, the same way most apps count them.
Does it work with Urdu?
Yes. The Urdu full stop (۔) and the Hindi danda (।) are recognised as sentence endings, just like the English full stop.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The splitting happens in your browser. Your text is never uploaded or saved by us.
