How to use PDF Overlay
- Choose your PDF and the overlay PDF (for example your letterhead).
- Pick which overlay page to use, where to place it and how see-through it should be.
- Press Overlay PDF and download.
Typical uses
- Letterhead – type a letter in any program, save it as PDF, then lay your company letterhead behind it.
- Stamps and seals – put a “PAID”, “COPY” or approval stamp on every page.
- Pre-printed forms – combine typed answers with the blank form so both show on one page.
- Backgrounds and frames – add a coloured border or certificate frame.
On top or behind?
On top always works and is best for stamps and logos – lower the opacity if it covers text. Behind the page puts the overlay underneath your content, which is what you want for letterheads. It needs pages with a see-through background: most PDFs made from Word, Google Docs or this site are see-through, while scanned pages and some designs are not – in that case use On top with a lower opacity.
Sizes
Fit to page scales the overlay to fit without stretching. Stretch to fill makes it cover the whole page. Keep original size centres it at its real size.
