How to use Edit PDF

Press Select PDF file.
Press Edit text and click a line to change it, or pick Text, Image, White-out, Highlight, Box or Draw and place it on the page.
Press Save PDF and download your edited file.

What you can do

Text – fill in forms that have no fields, add notes, dates or corrections.
White-out – cover a wrong word or number with a white box, then type the right one on top.
Highlight – mark important lines in see-through yellow.
Box – draw a frame around a section to point it out. Change the border and fill colours.
Draw – circle, underline or tick things freehand with your finger or mouse.
Image – add a logo, stamp or photo.

Changing existing text

PDF files do not store paragraphs like a Word document, so no online tool can reliably re-flow the original text. The clean way to change a word is to cover it with White-out and type the new word on top – the result looks the same when printed. For long changes, convert the file with PDF to Word, edit it there and save it again with Word to PDF.

Is white-out safe for hiding private information?

No. A white box only covers the words – the text underneath can still be copied. To remove private details for good, use Redact PDF.
