How to use Change PDF Font

Press Select PDF file.
Choose a font (or keep the current one), a text colour, a background colour, a paper size and click the pages you want to remove.
Press Apply changes – check the preview and download your PDF.

Everything you can change

Font – 16 fonts: Inter, Poppins, Carlito (similar to Calibri), Liberation Sans (similar to Arial), DejaVu Sans, Adventor, Lora, Liberation Serif (similar to Times New Roman), Caladea (similar to Cambria), Pagella (similar to Palatino), Bonum, Schola, Latin Modern, DejaVu Serif, Liberation Mono and Chorus. Bold and italic are kept, and wider fonts are fitted into the original line.
Text colour – make all text black, navy, dark green or any of 50 colours. You can also change only the colour and keep the original font.
Page background – cream, mint, lavender, light blue and 46 more, or pick any colour. Great for easier reading, printing on coloured paper look, or brand colours.
Page size – A4, A3, A5, B5, US Letter, Legal, Tabloid or a custom size in millimetres, portrait or landscape. The page is scaled and centred so nothing is cut off.
Remove pages – click the thumbnails of the pages you do not need, or type them like 2, 5-7.

Keep the layout or make a new document?

Keep the layout is for forms, letters, reports, certificates and designed pages. The old text is removed and the same words are written in the same places with your new font – pictures and backgrounds are not touched.
New clean document is for books, notes, articles and printouts you want to read comfortably. The text is set again with your font, colours, text size, line spacing, margins and paper size – headings, lists, bold and italic are recognised. Pictures are not included in this mode.

Good to know

Scanned PDFs are pictures of text. Run OCR PDF first to change their font or text colour. A background colour cannot show through a scanned page because the scan itself is white.
New fonts cover English and European languages. For PDFs in Urdu, Arabic, Hindi or Chinese choose Keep current font – you can still change the text colour, background, size and pages.
Form fields and comments keep their own font and colour.

Yes. The new text is real text with the font embedded, so it can be selected, copied and found with Ctrl+F.

Can I change only the background colour?

Yes. Leave the font on Keep current font, choose a background colour and press Apply changes.

Which font is best for printing a book?

Lora, Pagella or Liberation Serif in New clean document mode, with Normal or Large text and Comfortable spacing.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is opened and converted inside your browser on your own phone or computer and is never sent to our server.
