Frequently asked questions

How do I compress a PDF under 1 MB?
Choose your PDF, keep the size at 1 MB and press Compress PDF. You see the size before and after.
Will the quality drop?
Very little. For most documents the gentle first step is already enough to get under 1 MB, so text stays sharp and photos look the same on screen.
Can I choose another size?
Yes. Type any size in KB in the box, or use the buttons for 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 2 MB.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. SmartPDFConvert compresses the PDF on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server.
What if it cannot reach the size?
You get the smallest version that is still readable, with a tip – for example removing extra pages or making pictures grey.
