Why 50 KB?

Exam boards, job portals and scholarship forms sometimes allow only 50 KB per document – usually for one page such as a certificate, an ID card copy, a domicile or a character certificate.

What fits in 50 KB: One or two scanned pages, or about 10 pages of typed text.

Tips for getting under 50 KB

Upload one page at a time and tick “Make pictures grey”: a clean black-and-white scan of one page fits easily in 50 KB. If your document has several pages, remove the ones the form does not need first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compress a PDF to 50 KB without losing quality?
For one typed or scanned page, yes – the text stays clear and readable. The tool only lowers the picture quality as far as needed to get under 50 KB and keeps the text searchable.
My PDF is 2 MB – can it really go down to 50 KB?
If it is one or two pages, usually yes. Long documents with colour photos may not fit while staying readable; then you get the smallest clear version and a tip to remove pages or make them grey.
Can I choose 20 KB, 30 KB or 40 KB instead?
Yes. Type any size in KB in the Exact size box and the tool aims just under it.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. SmartPDFConvert compresses the PDF on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server.
What if it cannot reach the size?
You get the smallest version that is still readable, with a tip – for example removing extra pages or making pictures grey.
