About the formats
- HTML is the language of web pages. An HTML file opens in any browser and can be edited, published on a website or pasted into a blog.
- JPG (also JPEG or JFIF) is the most common photo format. It uses lossy compression, so files are small, but it has no transparency and loses a little detail every time it is saved.
Uses
- Turn an email template, invoice or certificate made in HTML into a picture.
- Make a preview image of a web design for a client.
- Create social media graphics from HTML and CSS.
Tips
- Set the page width to match the design (for example 1200 px for desktop, 390 px for phones).
- Pictures and fonts must be inside the file or available online.
- For a printable document use HTML to PDF.
